It’s a big world when searching for a lost, missing or vulnerable person on the ground. It’s an even bigger world when searching from the air, but the advantage is obvious. When the person of interest is within your field of view but “hidden in plain sight,” Sgt. Wade Bourassa of the Saskatoon Police Service Air Support Unit will show you how they leverage their airborne technology to shrink that world down and create more successful search outcomes. This highly visual presentation highlights their stabilized camera system, integrated Augmented Reality mapping system as well as their Moving Target Indicator (MTI) software.  MTI is the latest in airborne search technology that detects and highlights movement on the ground for the camera operator to investigate, even if they can’t see it!
